OEM & CUSTOM MANUFACTURING

Custom Screw & Barrel Design
and OEM Manufacturing

Screws and barrels made around your drawing, machine and material.

For equipment builders, replacement projects and changing processing requirements. Start with a drawing, machine model or old-part photo.

Drawing review · Machine fit · Material matching

Screw and barrel configurations are confirmed for each order.

CUSTOM MANUFACTURING

Three ways to start your project

Whether you are building a machine or replacing a working part, the first step is to establish what must fit and what the material needs.

01

OEM Machine Builders

Supply the screw and barrel set for your extrusion or injection equipment. We review the drawing, machine connections and agreed inspection points before production.

02

Replacement Screw & Barrel

Use the existing machine and worn component as the starting point. Dimensions, drive connections and assembly interfaces are checked together to confirm the replacement.

03

Process & Wear Review

Discuss uneven plasticizing, filler abrasion or a change of resin. We review the working conditions before proposing changes to geometry, steel or surface protection.

CUSTOMIZATION OPTIONS

Specify the part around the machine

The order specification brings machine fit, screw function and wear protection together. The available options are reviewed against the application.

CUSTOMIZATION AREA

WHAT CAN BE REVIEWED

WHAT GUIDES THE DECISION

Screw geometry

Diameter, working length, flight arrangement, feed and compression zones, mixing or venting features.

Material, filler level, output target and the limits of the existing machine.

Drive & machine connections

Shank, spline or keyway, threads, flanges and mating dimensions.

Drawing revision, coupling details and the relevant assembly dimensions.

Barrel configuration

Bore and outer dimensions, feed opening, mounting and process openings.

Machine layout, heating arrangement and the screw-to-barrel relationship.

Steel & working surface

Nitriding, bimetallic barrel options and alloy protection for selected wear areas.

Abrasion, corrosion, operating temperature and the intended duty.

Matched components

Screw and barrel sets, tips and related parts included in the agreed supply scope.

Which interfaces must be checked as a complete assembly.

OEM order requirements

Part identification, quantity, packaging and agreed dimensional inspection records.

Your purchasing specification and requirements for repeat orders.

Final dimensions, materials and treatment requirements are agreed before manufacturing.

OUR PROCESS

From Concept to Delivery in 5 Steps

A structured workflow keeps every custom screw aligned with your agreed specifications, from the initial requirements through manufacturing, inspection and delivery.

01

Requirement Analysis

We review your material type, output targets, processing temperature range and machine specifications to define the screw geometry for your application.

02

Design & Engineering

Our engineers develop detailed 3D models with flight depths, compression ratios and mixing sections optimized for your process. The design is confirmed before manufacturing.

03

Manufacturing

CNC and five-axis machining centers produce the screw to the approved design. Precision machining and dimensional checks help maintain consistent fit and performance.

04

Testing & Quality Control

Before dispatch, every custom screw undergoes hardness testing, dimensional inspection and surface finish verification against the agreed specifications.

05

Delivery & Support

We arrange worldwide shipping and provide ongoing technical support, including installation guidance and assistance with process optimization after delivery.

MATERIALS & PROTECTION

Choose protection for the working conditions

The same treatment does not suit every resin or filler. Share the material formulation and wear history so the specification can be reviewed in context.

Nitrided Steel

38CrMoAlA is an option for nitrided screw and barrel components. The suitability of the base steel and nitriding specification is reviewed with the processed resin and operating conditions.

Bimetallic Barrel Options

An alloy-lined bore can be considered when abrasion or corrosion is a major concern. Liner selection must match the resin, filler and service environment.

Alloy Protection on Screw Flights

Alloy build-up or spray welding can be considered for selected wear areas. The coating system and finished dimensions are specified for the working duty.

Other Steel Grades

Where a standard nitrided solution is unsuitable, discuss alternative steel grades and treatment routes. Material selection is confirmed for the individual component.

Machining and inspection follow the approved component specification.

APPLICATION REVIEW

Start with the product you make

Tell us what goes into the machine and what comes out of it. The application gives the drawing review a practical starting point.

PVC Extrusion

Pipe, profile and other PVC extrusion projects.

WPC & Filled Materials

Wood fiber or mineral filler makes wear and feeding part of the review.

Compounding & Recycling

Discuss mixing needs, venting and the characteristics of the recycled feed.

Sheet, Film & Foam

Review material flow, melt consistency and the downstream process.

Injection Molding

Match the plasticizing unit, machine connections and resin requirements.

START YOUR OEM REVIEW

What to send for a useful first review

Send what you already have. A drawing is helpful, but a machine model and clear photos can also start the conversation. We will identify the missing details before confirming the order.

Email Your Drawing →

01 / Machine & assembly

Machine manufacturer and model; screw or barrel drawing; drive connection and installation photos.

02 / Material & operating duty

Resin type, recycled content or filler, operating conditions and the product you manufacture.

03 / Dimensions & wear history

Available diameters and lengths, old-part measurements, wear photos and the issue you want to address.

04 / Order & acceptance

Required quantity, project schedule, delivery destination and any inspection or documentation requirements.

OEM QUESTIONS

Custom Screw & OEM FAQ

Can you manufacture to our OEM drawing?

Yes. Send the component drawing and the required quantity for review. We confirm the drawing revision, critical machine interfaces, material and inspection criteria before production.

Can I start without a complete drawing?

Yes. Share the machine model, clear component photos and any dimensions you have. A sample or additional measurements may be needed to establish the final manufacturing specification.

Can the screw design be reviewed for a different resin or filler?

We can review the proposed material and processing conditions. Changes to geometry or wear protection need to remain compatible with the machine and the agreed component specification.

Can you supply a matching screw and barrel set?

Yes. Include both components in the inquiry so the bore, screw dimensions, connections and related interfaces can be reviewed as a set.

How are material and hardness requirements confirmed?

They are part of the order specification. Tell us the resin, filler, wear history and any existing requirement. The selected steel, treatment and inspection criteria are agreed before production.

What information is needed for an OEM quotation?

Send the drawing or available machine details, material, quantity and delivery destination. Explain whether this is a machine-building project, a replacement part or a process-related change.
